Vegetarian Cooking Class Singapore
Meat-eaters often find it hard to believe that a dish made completely out of vegetables can be just as tasty, nutritious and satisfying. Our vegetarian chefs at Chef Tales couldn’t agree less. Here are some amazing dishes that are completely meat-free that may change your mind about vegetarian dishes.
Cheese & Roasted Vegetable Baked Manicotti
Cheese, cheese, and more cheese! Beyond that however, the roasted vegetables help to create a nice balance for people who might find cheese-filled pasta dishes a little bit too rich. It provides that little bit of something else to what might have been an otherwise ordinary manicotti, adding more flavour and substance to the dish.

Lemon Gremolata Pizza with Cauliflower Crust
A unique creative cauliflower crust makes up the perfect base for this rendition of gremolata-inspired pizza (a combination of parsley, garlic and lemon), completed with thin, zesty lemon slices on the top.

Zucchini Parmesan Sandwich
The zucchini is first breaded and baked to crispy perfection, before layering them with cheese, marinara and fresh basil. These crowd-pleasing sandwiches are great vegetarian alternatives to the Italian and could be prepared ahead of time, heated just before serving.

Why Vegetarian Food?
Healthier Lives
A vegetarian diet is linked with a higher consumption of fibres, folic acid, vitamins, magnesium and unsaturated fat. This often results in lower cholesterol, being slimmer, lower blood pressure, and reduced risk of heart disease.
Cut Costs
By eating vegetables, grains and fruits instead of the average 200 pounds of meat every non-vegetarian eats annually would cut your food bills by an average of $4,000 a year!
Natural Weight Loss
In a six-month study, people who ate a vegan or vegetarian diet lost about twice as much weight as those following a non-vegetarian diet, according to a research by Nutrition. Say goodbye to calorie counting and food logging!
Animal Lovers
Many vegans and vegetarians have chosen to go meatless to make a statement against animals being cruelly treated and farmed in cages just for consumption. As a non-vegetarian, you can help this cause too, by changing your diet towards less meat. Don’t worry, our vegetarian meals will make it easy!
Here’s what our students have to say about us:
As a vegetarian, finding good vegetarian food can be quite a pain in Singapore, and there’s especially little variety in my neighbourhood. Thankfully a friend introduced me to the Vegetarian Cooking Class at Chef Tales, and now I can prepare most of my meals myself! The recipes taught are simple and easy to follow, and with the guidance from the instructor who taught us about the ingredients and their uses, I’ve even started to spin up some of my own creations!
My girlfriend is a vegetarian and I really wanted to surprise by cooking a vegetarian lunch for her. Being a total beginner, I was quite worried if I would be able to make a decent meal for her, but the steps were easy and the instructions were clear and I managed to whip up a tasty lunch. Thanks for helping give my girlfriend a wonderful surprise, now she wants us to go for another class together as well!
The atmosphere built around this cooking class is really fun and relaxing. I signed up for the hands-on lesson and I had such a great time just learning from the instructor and from each other. This group at Chef Tales is definitely one of a kind!
